At Concierge Smile Boutique Dr. Shayesteh examines every new patient for oral cancer screening. This includes checking the oral mucosa, palpating lymph nodes and glands, and utilizes the Bio/Screen.

Oral cancer is undetectable to the naked eye in its initial stages. For this reason, Dr. Shayesteh has additionally invested in the latest technology in oral cancer screening. The Bio/Screen Oral Exam System screens for any abnormal lesions in their earliest stages which can minimize or eliminate the disfiguring effects of oral cancer.

Risk factors:

• Patients age 40 and older
• Tobacco Use
• Alcohol Consumption
• Oral HPV infection
• Patients with history of oral cancer
• 25% of oral cancers occur in people who have no risk factors.
